About St. Mary's Church

SPECIAL CHURCH SERVICES
Every fourth Sunday we have a healing service. During the service Fr. Patrick Kerley lays hands on those who wish it. It's a very moving service and everyone is welcome.

Who We Are

We currently have three retired clegy, a Churchwarden, and an enthusiastic PCC.

We are in an interregnum as our last priest in charge retired in 2022. We have Episcopal Oversight under the care of Bishop Norman Banks, Bishop of Richborough. The Diocese is in the process of linking St. Mary's church with the church of St. John the Baptist  Lound, to form a new benefice

On  Wednesday 27th March, some of us from Hemsby and Lound attended Bishop Norman's last Chrism mass at Walsingham.  Our Bishop will be retiring at Easter. I asked him if he was looking forward to retirement, and he said, "My diary is full." So, no rest for our Bishop. Then he said "It keeps you young to be busy". I agreed. So we will still see him on occasions.

Easter Coffee Morning & Mothering Sunday

We had a very successful Easter coffee morning. It was a thoroughly enjoyable morning and thank you to everyone who came, it was lovely to see you all.

Mothering Sunday Service was lovely. Olivia Muldowney and Cassey Bowles did a fantastic job handing out flowers
